This FREE in-person event is designed to introduce small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in North Essex* to the foundational concepts of AI tools that can enhance business processes. Covering topics such as automation, analytics, customer relationship management. This introductory session aims to demystify AI and provide a clear understanding of its basic applications in everyday business activities for improved results.

In an ever-evolving digital landscape, SMEs in North Essex can begin to explore how artificial intelligence can streamline operations, boost marketing efforts, and provide a competitive edge. This entry-level event will introduce the fundamentals of revolutionary AI tools that cater to various business needs, followed by an in-depth exploration of ChatGPT’s capabilities in content creation and digital marketing.

Fred Thomas: Digital Technology Expert & Business Consultant

Fred Thomas has been at the forefront of digital technology since the early 1980s, leveraging cutting-edge advancements to drive business success. His journey began with the establishment of an e-commerce and distribution business in 1998, which he grew into a multi-million-pound enterprise. A self-taught expert in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Fred has utilised his skills to launch and elevate numerous successful websites.

His expertise extends to working closely with Let's Do Business and Essex County Council, where he has played a pivotal role in offering business support and grant funding with a focus on digitisation.  Fred’s expertise in digitisation, SEO, and AI has made him a sought-after speaker for webinars and presentations in recent years.

More recently, Fred has collaborated with a bespoke software company and now runs his own IT and digital support business.  His approach to technology is not just about leveraging tools, but about integrating them meaningfully into business strategies to foster growth and innovation.   Fred’s session on AI for SMEs is not just a presentation; it’s a culmination of years of experience and insights, designed to guide businesses in Essex towards digital empowerment and success.
